2008 Show Report
On the 31st May the PDGSSD held their Annual Doll & Bear
Competition and Craft Show.
Members and visitors all had a great day.
The competition room was popular and
all day was full of excited competition entrants and visitors.
The competition
entries were all of a very high standard. Rosettes were awarded
to many first time, and previous, entrants.
Special awards were awarded to:
- Pam Furniss for 'Antique Doll of the Show'
- Karen Anderson for 'Modern Doll of the Show'
- Margaret Glass for 'Bear of the Show' and
- Anne Stephens for the ADA (Australasian Doll Association) award
In the competition room there was also
some enchanting displays. One of the displays was Pariot
Dolls and Pin Cushions made
by members, and another was a great display of miniatures
by 'Precious Little Pieces'.
The day for the traders was also good; they reported lots
of interest and good sales.
PDGSSD would like to thank members and
visitors for making the 2008 show a success, and we look
forward to seeing everyone at the next show on Saturday the 30th May 2009.
